If a quote has one or two vague lines, expect add-ons later. More detail upfront means fewer “surprises.” -
Compare apples to apples.
Make sure each quote covers the same scope (coats, prep, areas). A lower number that omits a coat isn’t actually lower. -
Weigh real proof.
Referrals you trust, verified reviews, and a portfolio site matter. In 2025, no web presence + no reviews = red flag.
The future: tech-enabled, people-powered
Robots with rollers aren’t taking over soon, but software already separates pros from pretenders. Stephen routinely estimates, schedules, invoices, and manages jobs remotely when travelling.
